Philadelphia, PA: February 3, 2010 at age 75.  She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Rabbi Richard Allen; children, David (Maureen) Allen, Michael (Eun-Mi Shim) Allen, Cara (David) Bracamonte, Alissa (Anthony) Newett; grandchildren, Madeleine, Rebecca, Jordan & Hannah Allen; Marissa & Joseph Bracomonte and Aria Rachel Newett; Brother, Donald Jaffey. 
 
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 1 PM at Brighton Memorial Chapel, 3325 Winton Road South (Click here for a map to Brighton Memorial Chapel).  Interment will follow the service at Britton Road CemeteryClick here for directions to the cemetery.

Valerie was a dear and wonderful friend who enriched my early years. I only wish we had stayed in touch. Love to Dick and the children with our heartfelt regrets.
